This blog is maintained by me: Ulco Wierenga. I work for a large Dutch online marketing firm providing services to some of the top 500 businesses in the Netherlands and Europe. Oficially I manage both the SEO and SEA departments but my heart is with organic search.

Besides my regular job a run a small company called “Gintou”. Its core business is running content web sites but it also holds some small investments in other e-commerce businesses. For those of you wondering what Gintou means: It stands for “Get in touch”. The basic foundation of the internet, get in touch to exchange, buy, sell, share or inform.

This blog is my way to share, inform and exchange my life, work, business and knowledge - with you. I hope you like it - and if you do - please let me know.

Technical details

Gintou.com runs on Wordpress, the layout is designed by myself although some parts are stolen from HEMA and ndesign-studio.com. The HTML and CSS were created by the guys from Team Wordpress (whom I highly recommend).

The site is hosted on a dedicated server in the Netherlands (stupid, I know). I use Stuffed Tracker to track my visitors. Stuffed is a great alternative to Google Analytics if you hate to give away your data to Google.
